Sandford Building Contractors offer a complete masonry package including labour only, supply and fit, including engineering services if required. Established in 1996 by Ian Brimfield, a bricklayer of 20 year, the company specialise in masonry subcontracting including brickwork, blockwork and natural stone walling

The company is based in Cheddar, Somerset and currently has a turnover of circa £3.5 million and has a workforce of approximately 100. Tradesmen, forklift drivers and foreman are supported by safety, project management and technical staff to ensure all client's requirements are met and exceeded.

Sandford Building Contractors have carried out a wide variety of masonry contracts in several construction sectors, including commercial, leisure, industrial, educational, retail and housing.

The company's proactive approach to contracts has enabled them to complete contracts both on time and budget for numerous major main contractors, recognised by their ability to win repeat, often-negotiated subcontracts.

 

The principle directors are as follows.

Ian Brimfield. 40 years old. Having worked as a bricklayer in the UK for 15 years, Ian travelled to Germany where he formed a small bricklaying company. He then returned to the UK and established Sandford Building Contractors Ltd. He currently lives in Cheddar with his wife and 3 children.

Graham Rayment. 32 years old. Graham trained as a civil engineer working in the UK for a major civil engineering contractor. Having worked as a site engineer for 6 years he progressed to site management and moved to Bristol where he was a site manager for a large regional building contractor for a further 9 years. He Joined Sandford Building Contractors Ltd in 2006 where his main role is to offer technical support and quality control for all aspects of their works.
